Air Ambulances and Air Hospitals

Medical Evacuation Aircraft

Whether needed for military, paramilitary or civilian agencies the Aquila Aerospace Special Mission Aircraft Center offers a world-class air MEDEVAC solution. Aquila MEDEVAC aircraft travel farther, faster and higher than rotary wing Air Ambulances, and with increased cabin space, Aquila provides room for more medical equipment, staff and patients.

MEDEVAC Aircraft

As a result of purposeful design and modification Aquila Aerospace offers some of the most aerodynamic and versatile multi-role MEDEVAC aircraft in the world. Both the Aquila Air Ambulance and Air Hospital aircraft are capable of taking off from and landing on shorter runways. The aircraft’s long range means that they are a maximum of one stop away from any destination in the world and their high cruising speed makes this achievable within 24 hours.

Mission Success

Aquila Aerospace works very closely with each of its clients, developing for them their own bespoke MEDEVAC aircraft. Whether evacuating injured civilians, wounded military personnel or flying emergency transplant organs each aircraft is precisely modified and equipped to excel in a multitude of mission parameters. This superior level of personalised service results in a MEDEVAC aircraft that is capable of ensuring mission success time and time again.

Air Ambulance

The predominant role of an Air Ambulance is to evacuate patients and transport them rapidly to either a temporary treatment centre or a hospital. An Air Ambulance requires medical equipment for stabilising patients’ and space for medics & paramedics to perform their duties. Other roles for an Air Ambulance include the transportation of organs, blood, medical staff and medical supplies.

Air Hospital

Whilst being very similar to an Air Ambulance the role of the Air Hospital is extended to include more specialised duties. These specialised duties usually involve: preforming airborne lifesaving surgery, critical life support for patients in need of being transported to dedicated treatment facilities and the rapid deployment of doctors, medical staff and treatments to crisis areas (near and far).

Air MEDEVAC Hardware

The Aquila Aerospace Special Mission Aircraft Center is capable of equipping a MEDEVAC aircraft to the bespoke needs of each client. Typically, a standard onboard medical suite consists of beds, oxygen ventilators, monitoring devices, a defibrillator, vacuum suction systems, infusion & syringe pumps and much more.

Military MEDEVAC

Whenever a MEDEVAC team is required to evacuate injured military personnel from a conflict zone there is always the threat of an attack. The Aquila Aerospace Special Mission Aircraft Modification Centre can meet this threat by integrating defensive counter measures that help ensure crew and aircraft safety.

Civilian MEDEVAC

Typically, fixed wing MEDEVAC aircraft are less expensive per mile and per hour to operate. This cost efficiency makes the Aquila MEDEVAC solution ideal for long distance patient relocation, emergency transplant organ transportation and non-local emergency medical treatments.

Mission Survivability

Weather and warzones are the two main factors that can hinder a successful air MEDEVAC. To help ensure bad weather and hostility is avoided the team at Aquila Aerospace can equip each aircraft with advanced communications, tracking and situational awareness hardware.
